With the limited edition 4810 Montblanc Masters of Art Tribute to Vincent van Gogh, Montblanc celebrates Vincent van Gogh, one of the most popular painters of the late 19th century. This edition places particular emphasis on his time in Arles with design details reflecting Provençal wheat fields and one of his most famous paintings, 'Sunflowers'. The 1888 engraved on the barrel ring - next to Vincent's signature in bright orange - commemorates the year he moved to Arles. While the body is decorated in shades of yellow and orange reflecting the sunny landscapes of southern France, the famous series of five sunflower paintings inspired the interpretation in relief on the handcrafted rhodium-plated solid gold nib. hand Au 750. Van Gogh developed a looser, freer style and became equally proficient with the brush and palette knife – which he used for thick, brash "impasto" work.
