Montblanc Writers Edition Ballpoint Pen Honoré de Balzac (writers edition limited)

The 2013 Writers Edition pays tribute to the French novelist and playwright who enriched 19th century world literature with nearly 100 plays and novels: Honoré de Balzac. Inspired by 19th century dandyism and the elegance of Balzac, the pen is made of precious black resin and gray lacquer. Its guilloché decoration evokes the emblematic tail coat of Parisian gentlemen. The imposing dimensions of the pen recall the stature of Balzac, while the clasp encrusted with turquoise lacquer at the top symbolizes the writer's cane. The platinum and gold rings symbolize the different social classes of French society at the beginning of the 19th century, often at the center of Balzac's works.
